This is why the images are quite dark, but I use bloom to emphasize the highlights, as it is shown in the screenshots.Ĭubemaps don’t magically change themselves based on time of day or any other settings, they are just pictures on a cube around the camera. The images cannot be actually HDR, they are just regular images, so they look somewhat flat, they don’t have the color depth to represent the darkest shadows and the brightest highlights. The images are not all loaded into memory, only the one you’re currently using is, so no – there aren’t hundreds of megabytes of memory taken up by them. Some things people still don’t seem to understand about cubemap replacer: I am disappointed in the quality of some of the newer HDRIs on there, some of them are noticeably smeared or even have multiple exposures visible, resulting in duplicate ghost images of clouds, or just stitching errors. I didn’t make the images, I only edited and converted them. Last revision: 19 Jul, 2020 at 07:02 UTC (1)Ĭonverted using HDRI to CubeMap converter by MateuszWis:
